    New Location

    Friday, November 28, 2008, 09:31 PM [General]

After being offered a very nice job offer, I have relocated to Corpus Christi. Ahh, the beach, the ocean and so much to do and a new city to explore. I have joined a Tuesday night league here to keep up my practice. It is a nice center, all wood lanes and approaches. I found the approaches were good with a good amount of slide. Yet coming from all synthetics for so long, I find I am having to change my game up with lines I play, standing to start as these hook so much more than the synthetics I was on. The lanes are clean, just show age with worn areas. Yet, I know I'll get the hang of it with a little practice. I uploaded a few new pics and will have more soon. Good to be back on the lanes after being away from them for a month with getting started with the new job and moving.

    End of Summer

    Saturday, August 16, 2008, 09:47 PM [General]

I made an equipment change and gave Storm a try. So very impressive was the equipment. I have thrown Track and AMF well in the past, but wanted to try something different. As with alot of houses, this one loves to experiment with oil and patterns. I started with a low 180 average, then after I rec'd in my first storm balls, things turned around and I ended up finishing the summer city league 13 pins higher at a 193. I am anxious to see how the winter leagues go as I am in 3 leagues this winter.
